How to Low-Level Format a Hard Drive with the Hiren Low-Level Format Tool
Step 1: Download the Hirens boot CD
Step 2: Download Rufus, Rufus is a free tool for creating bootable USB.
Step 3: After downloading the two files above, we open the software Rufus.
Step 4: In the main interface of Rufus, File System, select FAT32 and then for IOS Image select the
IOS file Hiren that we already downloaded.
Step 6: Press the start button to boot to USB Flash.
Step 8: Reboot your computer. Press a special key to enter the Boot Menu. (Common keys for accessing the Boot Menu are Esc, F2, F10, or F12, depending on the manufacturer of the computer.)
Step 9: After going to the boot menu now, you select your USB flash that installed HBCD, then press Enter.
Step 10: When HBCD is finished, it will display the window PE's interface.
Step 11: After completing the above steps, we can perform the low-level format on the Hirens Boot CD.
Step 12: On the Desktop Open the Utilities folder -> Hard Disk Tools -> Security. Then double-click the HDD Low Level Format Tool.
Step 13: Choose the hard drive you want to format. and click "Continue."
Step 14: On the option LOW-LEVEL FORMAT tab, click on FORMAT THIS DEVICE and Then confirm the hard disk you want to format again and click "YES".
