How to Set up Forwarding Port on the Mikrotik Router?

Mikrotik Port Forwarding is a NAT application that is used to redirect a request from Mikrotik IP address and port number combination to a local IP address and port number. For example, if you have a Web Server or FTP Server in your private or local area and want to access this local server from outside of your local area (from the internet or public), you can apply Mikrotik port forwarding and easily access your Web Server or FTP Server.

How to Set up Forwarding Port on the Mikrotik Router?

    1. Go to IP => Firewall => NAT => Add New

    2. General Chain Select "dstnat"

    3. Dst.Address "Your Public IP"

    Example: My Public IP is 43.230.xx.xx

    4. Protocol tcp or udp is depend on your device you forwarding

    Example: My device is tcp

    5. Dst.Port "Port you want to access"

    Example: I want to forwarding port to 8080

    6. Action Select "dst-nat"

    7. To Addresses "Your device IP" and To Ports "Your device Port"

    Example: My Device local IP is: 192.168.123.78 and Port 4370

    8. Last step click Appy or OK then let's test working or not.

    Go to website Ping.eu then enter your IP and your port that you have forwarding
    Example: My IP is: 43.230.xx.xx and Port 8080 Result is Open
    Open: it mean port you forwarding is ready to use
    Closed: it mean need to check your config forwarding port again.
