How To Setup Internet Access on Mikrotik with Wireless Station?

Wireless Mikrotik has a mode we called Station. This mode can connect the Mikrotik to other devices with wireless. This wireless connection can be used as wireless WAN connection and configuring LAN, multiple devices can get internet over this wireless WAN connection.

How To Setup Internet Access on Mikrotik with Wireless Station?

Before we start to config Wireless Station your Mikrotik must config as below first:

1. Create Bridge

2. Create Bridge Port

3. Add IP for Bridge-LAN

4. Add DNS

5. Config DHCP Setup

6. Add Firewall NAT

Step 1: Find the Password of the target Access Point.

My AP is: 

Name: Thetech4talk

Password: thetech4talk

 Step 2: Create a Security Profile on Mikrotik

This security profile contains the password for the target access point that I mention on "Step 1" or can follow as below image:

Step 3: Connect Wlan1 to AP

- Wlan1 by default is disabled so you need to enable first and then double click on wlan1 select on Wireless

- Click Scan and Connect to your AP

- Security Profile select your profile that you create on Step 2 and then click finish.

- After connected wlan1 flag has R Symbol.

Step 4: Create DHCP-Client

DHCP-Client will automatically request IP Address with gateway from your AP.

Now we successfully connected for access to AP. Enjoy using internet.
